Natural science is at present still very disinclined to recognize and study those finer agents of nature by virtue of which the so-called magical phenomena come about. But even if its aversion to magic continues, it will unavoidably meet these agents outside magic as well, and from this a magical deepening of natural science will then follow quite spontaneously and unintended.

This process is playing itself out before our eyes at this very time. One of the most recent discoveries, telegraphy without wires, is called to give us the physical explanation of magical telepathy.
